Tony Lama - the brand

Tony Lama shoes and boots have a rich American heritage. Tony Lama was born in 1887 and started learning about the boot trade at the age of 11 when an uncle had him apprenticed to a shoe maker. In the early 1900's he had a stint in the US cavalry where he learned the importance of a good fitting hard working boot. With this inspiration Tony Lama the company was formed in 1911 to make such boots.

Today Tony Lama's sons and daughters carry on the tradition of building quality boots that their father had started. As a company they take such care of the making of their shoes that the manufacturing process has over 100 steps. With today's technology to make a good fitting and comfortable shoe Tony Lama has embraced this in his boots.

Tony Lama shoes are made by craftsman to the exacting standards that Tony Lama himself instigated all those years ago.
