Gravati - the brand

Gravati is a family owned company based in Vigevano, Italy. It was founded in 1909 with the sole aim of making high quality shoes. They stand by this aim today with their manufacturing process which is to make each shoe entirely by hand by highly skilled artists and technicians. You get a finely crafted shoe in a classical and refined style.

The manufacture involves a meticulous process. Once the design is chosen the leather is hand cut for each shoe. The leather is sewn and hemmed to form the upper which is then mounted onto a last. The sole is sewn on and the heel applied and finely polished. At the end the shoes are wrapped in tissue paper, placed in labeled cardboard boxes which includes a cloth bag for care.
