Ariat - the brand

Ariat had a change of focus in 1990 when their co-founders Beth Cross and Pam Parker had an idea to revolutionize the boots worn by equestrian riders. They brought in top designers and footwear engineers to develop boots and shoes to satisfy the needs these equine athletes.

This led to a total redesign in how boots support the arch and the engineering of a better outsole. The top equestrian riders of the day were consulted and their opinions on footwear were incorporated into the new designs. Finally in 1993 Ariat shipped their first pair of boots using this unique design expertise and knowledge.

Today they are the leading manufacturer in equestrian footwear. They have since expanded their range into apparel and casual footwear. They've become a massive international brand with products demanded worldwide from Texas to Monaco.
